Our site was preparing for launch over the week-end and we had a lovely front page slider design selected. Then we tried it on iPhone where the content was blank, and iPad where the content was blank until we turned it landscape, then it was messed up with post titles rendering vertically on the left side overwriting each other. Neither device was usable with the frontage slider.

On going back to our three favorite browsers on the laptops (Chrome, Safari, and Firefox) we noticed when resizing the window, that the slider is not responsive to all frame sizes.

Is this a know problem with your software, or have I got something wrong in my site configuration?

We had to postpone our launch of the slider, so I have no website to refer you to. Is your slider design intended to be usable on iPhone and iPad with the Prostar template?

hey gordon,
haven't looked at the slider for some time now but the problem you described was exactly there in the past. I wrote a small workaround post for this about half a year ago (so it was for an older version of easyblog) but that might help you out with just changing a handful lines of code: http://stackideas.com/forums/make-the-featured-posts-slider-responsive

So Mark, do the changes that Alex suggests still apply to the latest EasyBlog update?

Is there a reason these changes from last year have not been put into the latest release? What's the risk or downside of making these changes? I don't want to patch my site every time there's an update.

Hello Gordon,

We're actually planning to revamp the featured area in EasyBlog 4.0 as the current method for the featured slider wouldn't really work on mobile devices.

Do you have a timeframe in mind for EasyBlog 4.0? Would I be entitled to it at no additional charge?

Hello Gordon,

As long as your subscription doesn't run out you will be entitled to new upgrades I believe EasyBlog 4.0 will definitely come on before December 2014
