Based on what I checked in my local instance, you can set community builder profile image as the integration(http://take.ms/ultnP).

Also, if you set the profile picture integration to 'default'. The image will not link to anything.

Yes that is the current behavior of the link where it loads on the current page. If you want to change this, you would have to template override 2 theme files in Komento.
