Are you using the discuss content plugin to generate discussions when someone accesses K2? You should take a look at the plugin parameters and ensure that they are configured correctly.

No plugin is being used and I think you are misunderstanding my issue.

When I create a new question in EasyDiscuss, It is not title showing as per the screenshots and the BBcode smilies are not working. K2 is simply installed on the site, I am not trying to generate discussions from K2 and I am not using anything else other than EasyDiscuss to create questions.

Hm, sorry I thought you were referring to the automated discussion creation from K2. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

I have tried various things and have even completely removed K2 and the same problem persists, even after re-install of EasyDiscuss.

I'm so sorry to ask you again. I cannot access your FTP :

Status: Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NODATA - No address associated with nodename".
Error: Could not connect to server

I just checked with that account and it works fine

I used bash to connect thru linux and windows.

windows > cmd > ftp > open > TO: bodysupplements.com.au

login with that username and password I provided

Yes, it is working. I've checked your setting and seems like your live_site isn't empty. You might want to empty it in the configuration.php since the page throws many 404 errors. We cannot edit it since it is not rewritable. Please give it a try and see how it goes.

Sorry for the late reply. I still can't write in your FTP. By the way, you can try these steps:
1) Rename these folders to xcom_easydiscuss:
..\administrator\components\com_easydiscuss\
..\components\com_easydiscuss\
..\media\com_easydiscuss\
2) Install the component using this method: http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/installation/installing-from-directory .

Hope this helps or else, we really need to have the write permission to your FTP.

I Followed your method and received: the following error: Duplicate entry 'com_easydiscuss' for key 'idx_asset_name' SQL=INSERT INTO `pu0b5_assets` (`name`,`title`,`rules`,`parent_id`,`level`,`lft`,`rgt`) VALUES ('com_easydiscuss','com_easydiscuss','{}','1','1','391','392')

Permissions also fixed for FTP, You have full writes Access, please note the folders are still renamed.

Sorry for the late reply. For some reason, I have problem writing in your FTP. I can't even install through your backend. I got this error: Could not create directoryPath . Which is have something to do with permission that don't let to create directory.

Okay After poking it was the database, I dropped the tables and reloaded them, problem solved
