Hello support.

I guess I caused this problem by updating my template! When I go to the little gear icon on EasyBlog, I can log in to the front end area of Easy Blog as a Blogger. When I click on the menu point “blog Posts” I get taken to another menu from “Project Fork” This used not to happen. Is there anyway of getting the Easy Blog front end for Bloggers back. I also played around with some Project-fork module positions and I could imagine that they are somehow pushing Easyblog out of the way! Any ideas?

thanks Paul
Hello Paul,

To be honest, I am not really sure what's going on there but I guess it's probably a menu alias conflict? I can't really tell what issue is this unless I have the back end and FTP access to the site to investigate on this

Thanks Paul, by the way, I don't see any menu item that says "blog Posts" on the site. Am I missing anything here?

Hi mark, the "home" page goes too "EasyBlog » Frontpage Blog Layout." Maybe I need to have a blog page at some point! Need to see how the EasySocial integration works out.

Sorry Paul, I am actually a little lost here. Upon logging in, I clicked on the "Home" menu but I don't seem to see any problems here too

Hi Mark

I am talking about the little gear icon on EasyBlog, I can log in to the front end area of Easy Blog as a Blogger. When I click on the menu point “blog Posts” where the gear icon is (top right of Easy Blog Front End Interface) I get taken to another menu from “Project Fork.” Maybe I am finally going mad but I can not get to the front ned list of my blogs!

thanks for your patience

Hello Paul,

Ah okay I believe I have found the issue and the problem is more like an alias conflict between the menu's from EasyBlog and your site aliases. Why is it conflicting? Your current home page is set to EasyBlog hence there is no "alias" assigned to it. In other words, to access the dashboard of EasyBlog, you need to access it via /dashboard

However, you have another menu item alias called "dashboard" which links to project fork. Hence, Joomla got confused and loads up PF instead.

A quick remedy to this, is to create a hidden menu item for EasyBlog and configure the settings at the back end of EasyBlog as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/Ss6eUBSu . This way, any "easyblog" menu items will have the prefix of /blog/ . I have already done this for you

Hi Mark

Got it thanks. I have renamed my Projectfork menu "Dashboard" to "Project Dashboard” and that seems to have done the trick. By the way Projectfork are anxious to collaborate with you guys. That would be awesome two of my favourite Joomla developers collaborating. Maybe you should drop them a line ;-)

thanks again

Paul

Ah, I didn't know that Kyle was responsible for Project Fork. I thought it was someone else. Yes, I did plan to create apps for Project Fork but my hands are tied to EasySocial 1.2 . Perhaps we could sort this out later. I have some good and exciting ideas to create apps for Project Fork within EasySocial

Hi Mark, frankly, I am not sure who is responsible. Ask them ;-) Personally I think Projectfork and Easy Social would be a match made in heaven. Getting people to fill out their profile, upload photos, post cat videos or what ever is all well and good but... In my case for example I am trying to build a User Group. Call me crazy if you will but if I could use a website to manage the post production of a film that would be amazing. Every thing from the finding of the crew to the delegation of who gets what files and when to work on to make the finished film!!!

best
