Hi,
I've just upgrade to 3.0 but after a while I downgrage to the 2.0 version.
I'd like to give you notice why.
On my site I need only an avatar system without to install some big component. Also because I like to keep the joomla user profile.
So I've installed CMAvatar and I've applied some patch to work with Komento
(please see my previous ticket "Avatar from CMAvatar")
On the new komento 3.0 why don't you think to user that want only a simple avatar system without to change all the structure of the user profile?
I've tried to find how the avatar is created on the 3.0 version but (maybe because i have not a lot of time) I was not be able to understand your new system avatar.
Also I've noticed that on the 3.0 the user link does not go to the user comments list.
My best regards
Hello Tony,

We no longer have a profile system in Komento 3.0. It's causing the extension to be too bloated to do what it's primary job is which is to add commenting functionality on the site. This is why, it doesn't link to a profile page upon clicking on their names.

As for the profile picture integrations with CMAvatar, which extension provider is this? If you could send us a copy of the extension, we could try to add this into the next version of Komento.

Hi,
CMavatar is a free extension and you can find it on the JED
https://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/clients-a-communities/user-management/cmavatar
On the Komento 2.0 was so simple to integrate it
https://stackideas.com/forums/avatar-from-cmavatar
I'll be very happy if you could integrate it !
Please, give me an advise about it and I'll update to Komento 3.0
Thanks a lot
Best regards

Perfect, Mark!
If I can take advantage of your kindness I'd like to inform you that on the 2.0 version of Komento there is not the micro data information on the total ratings.
I use Komento to review some rental holiday homes; so, for me, it is important to have micro data.
On Komento 2.o I had modified the file ratings.php like you can see on my attached file
Don't you think it is a good idea give micro data also on the total ratings?
Thanks a lot
Best regards

Hello Tony,

Happy New Year! Thanks for noticing this. Could you start a new ticket regarding the micro data? We can link tickets created on our forums with our internal issue tracker. This allows us to keep track of changes.

P/S: I do take micro data very seriously too and we probably missed this when we changed the ratings library. We were previously using jQuery ratings but it's implementation is bad and slow. We then switched to a different ratings library which utilizes font awesome and it's much lighter.

Hi Mark,
I've tested the new integration with CMAvatar on Komento 3.0.3:
PERFECT
Thank you so much!
I'm going to report that to CMAvatar forum!
Just when and if you have an extra time it should be an improvement to display the CMavatar on the backend Dashboard of Komento.
But for me it is enough even like now.
Thanks a lot
My best regards
