Hello,

I have tried different times to install easysocial. But everytime the installation freezes at 95%.
After a time I break installation and it seems that everything is working normal on front-end.

But it seems that there are some issues.

I cant Upload photo's that are greater than about 1280px with.
And I cant change settings in backend off profile types-->registered--> access--> photo's

I have tried reinstalling easysocial different times and issues stay.
And now i also think that there are more than one componend of easysocial is active in background.

maybe you can have a look for me and tell me what i'm doing wrong.

Thank you,

Patrick
Hello Patrick,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I have helped you reinstall EasySocial on your site and I have successfully upload photo greater than 1280px, http://screencast.com/t/xVJL0kJZZ . I also successfully changed the setting at the profile types-->registered--> access--> photo. Here my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/CEsdH5X9 . Can you test this and verify this issue is resolved?

Looking forward to hear from you again.

Thank you,

I have tried to change te settings but again it didn't work for me...That made me think that you used in the backend the language english and I use the language dutch. I tried it in english and then i can make the changes.

So can you please take a look for me, why i can make changes when language is english and why I cann't make any changes when I use the language Dutch.
In Dutch you have to go "Profiel types-->Registered users-->Toegang-->Foto's"

Thank u for your time.

Regards

Patrick

Hello Patrick,

I am sorry for the late reply.
Regarding this issue, "why i can make changes when language is english and why I cann't make any changes when I use the language Dutch." I have found the issue with your site. The reason is because of apostrophe ( ' ) is in the language string and this is causing the system treating this as end of a string. I have help you changed this language string from Foto's to Fotos and the issue is resolved. Here my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/wQF2dEsPDBo . Can you verify this issue is resolved or not and if you have anymore question, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hello, Mohd Yasser,

Thx for your support, The thing with changing the setting works perfect now. :-)
But i have still issues with uploading images that are greater than size in px: 1500 x 1125. I said before from 1280 but that was not correct.
My mistake.

when i want to upload a image that is for example 3648 x 2736 px big. I get a Http error.
I tested some different sizes and it looks like the error starts from the size 1500 x 1125 px and bigger

Again thank u for your great support,

regards

Patrick

Hello Patrick,

It's most likely that you are hitting errors because the upload_max_filesize or memory_limit is not sufficient. Could you try contacting your hosting provider to have these values increased?

Hello Mark,

Upload_max_filesize is 20MB and memory_limit is 256M. This should be enough?
The images are also fully uploaded when selected to upload, they can also fully be found in the map "../media/com_easysocial/photos/.."

If the images are fully uploaded, are you sure that the problem is in the Upload_max_filesize or memory_limit?

thx

Patrick

hello Patrick Blijie,

I'm really sorry that missed up on this post thread, after debugging long time ago, it seems like you have modified on this file -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easysocial\includes\uploader\uploader.php
Under the getFile function LINE 64
because before that any picture also can't upload, If i put the original code then I can upload the photo from your story panel but without you provided that image file. Check the error message in my screenshot.
Can you try request with your webhosting provider to help you increase this few php and see how it goes?
upload_max_filesize - 50M
post_max_size - 60M
