To switch from 'ask a question' to 'make a new' post can be made within the translation file your find at your ftp languages folder. You will find a file like this: en-GB.com_easydiscuss.ini for the component itself depending on your language set at Joomla you can then edit the file to make the text appear that you want to. If you want to change things in modules you need to find the relevant language file at the languages folder and subfolder.

You could also try to make a language override at Joomla at extensions -> languages -> overrides and search for the text you want to change.


When you go through the settings of EasyDiscuss you will find several options to switch off many things to make it more basic.

I am no developer here but as far as I know, the design you see in this forum here will be part of EasyDiscuss 4 being released soon.
