One general problem I am running into is, that all existing German translations are very informal and personal "Du" instead of "Sie" which does not matter in English (you / you), but is very important if you want to be polite. As our Website is mainly used by elderly people (50+), we have to stick to the more formal "Sie" ... how can I reflect this in Transiflex? Is it possible to make an additional/alternativ German Version?

Hm, this is actually really tricky because different site has different needs and Transifex doesn't allow multiple variations of a single language

May I suggest the following: AS I suppose not so many people will be using the German-Austrian Language (DE-at) ... and as Austrians are generally more sensible regarding politeness and style , maybe we could use the DE-at Section for the more formal translation and leave the DE-de to the more personal approach of Germans ....

ok, so that's what I will do: I will replace the full Austrian (DE-at) Translation with "formal "German and keep it up to date :-)

DE-de: Casual German (Anrede: "Du")
DE-at: Formal German (Anrede: "Sie")

I will keep DE-at always up to date (need it for our project anyway) and take care of DE-de up to a certain extent as well ;-)

Just to let you guys know ... the transition has been more or less completed - the Austrian Version (DE-at / "Sie") is almost complete in Font- and Backend ...

I have also tried to complete the DE-de Version (fronted only) ... and added around 1.500 Strings ...

Will continue working on this and try to complete both versions (Frontend, Backend, Modules) in the next 2 weeks

I use their service and made really bad excpirience with them. I don't recommend them. It was a huge mistake.
