Hey guys, my website URL in question is : http://www.myebook.co.za

  • I am using Joomla 3.7.1
  • Easyblog v5.1.8
    PHP 7.1

I am seeing two issues today for the first time:

1. Forced Permalinks
My latest blog post as of writing this has the URL of; http://www.myebook.co.za/calls-for-submissions-south-african-authors-this-is-your-opportunity-to-be-recognised-2
I cannot get rid of the number at the end of the permalink "-2".

2. "Call to undefined function iconv()"
This error message is easiest seen when toggling the published status of my most recent post (Using the green tick shortcut). I have also seen the error message when I previewed the same post mentioned above.

I have attached relevant print screens. I have also added user details listed below.

Waiting on your assistance.

Warm Regards
Dave H
Hi there,

1. Forced Permalinks

It seems that there are another post that is the same with the one you refer above as you can see on Posts>Draft as shown http://take.ms/IXkwV. You maybe need to delete that first as i suspected that post inside draft sections are the original one.

2. "Call to undefined function iconv()"

It seems that 'Iconv()' functons not enabled yet on your server, it would be best if you can contact your web hosting service provider regarding this and see how it goes

Please advice.

Thanks for the feedback - You were right on both counts.

I have removed the draft of the post and updated the permalink of my post.
It would be great if you could have a warning of a duplicate URL on the blog post screen where the issue occurs...

With the iconv() function I emailed my website and this was their response.
As per your request I have enabled the iconv module in the server.
==
root@hendersoncloud [~]# php -m | grep -i iconv
iconv
root@hendersoncloud [~]#
==

All is good - Thanks again.
