For PayPal Payment Gateway, do I only need my email address?

Hello!
For the PayPal payment gateway, do I only need my email address? On the PayPal site, they talk about API keys or signatures and different possibilities, but the paypal payment gateway configuration app only requires the email address I used for my PayPal account.

Hello,

Payplans Paypal app is required only merchant email of your account. No api key is required , because payplans paypal app standard integration is supported.

Let me know are you talking about paypal only or you have payflow , paypal adaptive account.
