Hi,

I copied my easysocial from a server to a new server and there is a problem when cropping the profile image, it doesn't work anymore.

I am pretty sure it's a folder permission problem, I lost my permissions settings when changing server. I tried puting 777 to media/photos but it's still not working.

Can you please let me know what folders need 777 permissions in all the easysocial project?

You are talking about a "permissions troubleshooting guide" in your doc but it looks like this guide doesn't exist.

Sharing the FTP infos is not possible.

Thanks.
Seems like the support can't answer this but I fixed it myself, so here's the answer, the following folders need to have 755 or 777 permissions (depending of your server) for the profile picture upload to work:

media/com_easysocial/avatars
media/com_easysocial/photos
media/com_easysocial/tmp

Hey there,

Changing your files/folders's permission to 777 is not advisable. This makes your site "very" vulnerable to hacking.

It would be best if you can consult with your webhosting provider regarding this and make sure apply chown for all files and folders to the correct owners.

I am on a dedicated server so 777 is totally fine. Your upload scripts need to have special file permissions, can you please tell me what folders do I have to change the permissions so the picture profile can be updated and cropped? Thanks
