Hello,

For my subscription plans I have activated the 'Fixed expiry date' option because I want each membership to be valid from January 1 to December 31.

At the end of each year, I change the expiration date for the next period. On December 31, 2022 I changed the expiration date to January 1, 2024.

Furthermore, I tried to follow the recommendations of the PayPlans documentation by not activating, in the system settings, Automated Cron.
I use instead the Webcron service (https://www.webcron.org) set with the url https://www.sfgm-tc.com/index.php?option=com_payplans&view=cron&task=trigger
The Webcron service seems to work correctly.

Here is my question:
In my subscriptions list, there are still subscriptions that have not expired when they should.
The status is Active and the expiration date says Sunday, January 1, 2023 1:00 am.

This does not affect all memberships, some memberships have expired and in fact users have started to renew them.

Why haven't some memberships been set to expired?

Thank you.
Hey Simon,

Please update us with your site FTP details to check on this issue further.

Hey Simon,

Thank you for providing us with access.

I've checked your site and found that those subscription having issues are in the locked state that's why not expired.
I've unlocked them and run the cron job and now the subscription expired correctly.

Please take a look at this and update us with your response.

Hello Manisha,

I did receive the subscription status change notification emails a short time ago.
Everything seems to be back to normal.
Thank you very much.

However, could you tell me what is "locked state"? Is this something I can check myself? How can I see it in the PayPlans backoffice?

Best regards

Hey Simon,

You are most welcome.

You can find this in the #__payplans_subscription table, the `lock` column should be 0 for proper working.
Earlier it was 1 so, it's under lock state.

Let me know if you will have any queries.

Manisha,

Thank you for your explanations.

How was this value 1 in the 'lock' column was set? Could this be due to the upgrade to PayPlans 5?

Best regards

During cron job execution may be somewhere the process halt that's why the subscription is set to the locked state.
