Hello guys,

i just found a WONDERFULL wordpress plugin which generate to every user without avatar a new one based on its name, its put the first letter. It can help you to inspire !

I believe a similar plugin or for easysocial will be appreciated by communities managers. Not all members put their avatar

It's not difficult at all to achieve this i think but if you have multiple user's with the first letter of W, it would look weird don't you think?

yes but there is always Some A's, B's and many other names

but we can imagine an inteligent algorithm, when we have more then X% of same letter the app take the last name.

any way in a community we find names starting with all letters.

We'll see if we can implement this in the future but I still think it is going to be tricky if your site only has 20 users and they all have the same letter for their first name

as an option admins will have choice to generate or not those avatars based on their community members.

Just want to share an example where avatars with name's first letters, two lettrers and not only one letter are used to keep avatars differents :

We are actually experiencing with EasyDiscuss but without generating image, we'll use css to style them
