I have spoken of this to our developer, they inform that it is indeed complicated to achieve as custom fields, workflows, and ACL is tied to categories thus, it is not possible to achieve this at this point in time.
As there is already a few feature request regarding this has been submitted, perhaps, in the future, there is the best way to achieve this

For EasyBlog, there is an independent table which saves the posts and the categories associated with them, a table for the ACL parameters of the categories. It could be a model to follow...

Your sentence and your smiley suggest to me that you are seriously considering revising this system.
Am I right to believe it ?...

I would like to come back to you on this subject a year later.
Because not being able to classify a Page in several categories and sub-categories becomes very disabling.
I am stuck in the evolution of my website.

And now that the MarketPlace exists, I would love to be able to classify items into multiple categories.

Have you been able to think about the solution of this problem ?
