Hello again,
I enabled file sharing within groups, however I noticed that all files seem to display as "my files" and also I can delete them even though I didn't upload them in the first place. I tried finding the privacy options for the app but didn't manage to, could you give me a hand with this?
Thanks,
Michael
Okay, looks like I was wrong. There was a comment about this on the code where any group members should be able to upload and also delete files on the group since they are part of the group and they should be allowed to collaborate.

Just like Wunderlist and Evernote, as long as the collection / list is shared across members they have similar access to create / delete tasks. I will add a restriction for this in the next release of EasySocial so that only group / event admin's and site admins are allowed to delete files.

Hello Michael,

In the groups, the files are listing contributions made by everyone on the group and not other user's files. If you are the group admin or site admin, you will be able to moderate / manage the files. Are you a group admin / site admin ?

Hi Mark,
That's the thing - I'm not the admin. Yet, I am able to delete other users' files. Also, when I click "My Files", the list continues to show all files.
Thanks,
Michael

Ok cool, fair enough. Could you also add an option to restrict users from uploading files if they're not admins too.
Thanks,
Michael

Hello Michael,

I don't think restricting file uploads makes sense because most of the time you want users in the groups to collaborate but in the next release, members of the group will be able to delete their own files in a group but not everyone's files.

Yeah perhaps but you've got those options for events within a group so why not files? Anyway, it's up to you.
Cheers,
Michael

Hi Stackideas team,

Good afternoon,
Quick question has the below been created already?
I'm currently using version 1.3.23 , but in that one it's not yet adjusted.
Thanks!

Hello Danny,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Unfortunately it is not implemented yet in the current version of easysocial.
