Hi Team,

How do you think about this?
In the event, uploaded files are shown to the attendees in timeline.
I want an option to show the files in widget area.
Even the event owner uploaded important files, it's difficult to find them if there are many timeline items...
Yes for me the visibility and accessibility of files is the biggest single issue with events. Most events have a flyer and / or supporting form or something to promote them.. a PDF or a DPC or a JPG.....

As things currently stand the 'Share File' option is missing from the 'Share What's New Box' - That's been reported and hopefully will be added in soon.

But I also find the other methods of adding files result in them being (a) hard to find and (b) restricted to users only...

So it is a big shout out for the ability to add clear downloadable files for everybody to access for events! I'm hoping that when the 'Share File' link is added in to the 'Share What's New' box of the event we'll have this solution in part... but I think even then the files will be pushed down the activity stream over time, so either the event admin needs to be able to make them 'sticky' or some other way to prominently show the files.

I'm doing a temporary work-around by adding custom file type to event profiles, but it shouldn't be this hard if we keep the name 'EasySocial'
