I want the files section in a group to be accessible to non members of the group as well. Like all other information within a group is always available whether you're a member or not.
Is this possible?

Unfortunately it is not possible and to be honest we really wouldn't recommending you to allow it to behave in such a way because it could be pretty risky eh?
