Thinking of adding the ability to add file attachments to a 'Share What's New' posting to the feature request area, but before I do:

1) I'm assuming this isn't already possible and I've just missed the setting?!
2) Is there any technical reason why this would be a bad bad idea.

I'm just thinking that when 'sharing whats new' many of my people want to attached a quick PDF flyer / Word doc or something like that.... currently I try and make them use EasyBlog and post a blog with attachments, but I'm thinking for quick posts, this ability to add a document too would be awesome?!
A super cool implementation of this idea would be if, where people have EasyBlog installed (and what sensible person wouldn't!!!) that the LINKS option allowed you to access your 'Media Manager' and from there insert any PDF / WORD / WHATEVER from your beautifully organised files (or upload a new one to insert a link to)
