Hi guys.
Just upgraded to the new 1.4 ES. All looking good. However, I also am having issues with FFMPEG. I've changed all the paths etc, installed FFMPEG, and when I try to upload a video, I am getting the 0% issue.
I'm running on a Digital Ocean droplet, with Ubuntu 14.02. I manually updated the repositories and installed FFMPEG. I've tried the paths to FFMPEG as reported to WHEREIS and still no luck.
Any ideas?
Have you waited for the video to upload? I had this issue but FFMPEG was working and installed properly.

One thing that is frustrating is the fact that there is no upload progress bar when uploading the video. When you upload a video it appears that nothing is happening and the convert bar sits at 0% until the video fully uploads (there is no indication to the end user that this happening). Once the video fully uploads then suddenly the convert progress bar bursts into life and the video converts and displays. This is really confusing for the end user and it appears there is an issue.

Also what formats can convert? If you upload a Mpeg4 then it always results in an error! Nothing converts.

I would suggest to stack ideas that in a future update they include an upload progress bar for videos and document which formats can be converted through this system. In addition which third party video providers can be linked for reference to end users.

Otherwise it is a great addition to easysocial

Hey Dave,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Which version of FFmpeg is installed on the server? EasySocial works with 2.6.x onwards
