Few questions about Easy Social

Hi,

As we have been building a big membership site over the last year (with Jomsocial) we now have doubts if this is the right choice for us, and thats why we have some questions about EasySocial.

1. Does user taggin work across other stackideas like easydiscuss ?

2. Is there any settings for closed membership sites ? so global posting is disabled sitewide ? and is it a good solution for closed community ?

3. Option to add videos in categories, is hat planned or anyone knows if this would come?

4. What about events? will there come anything for EasySocial for events?

5. Since we have a multilang site, what are the options with easysocial? , in Jomsocial we have made groups etc, and set the lang for the urls, this way it works for us

6. In genereal, how does it work with categories?, a big disavance in Jomsocial, is that its not possible to do "container" categories in events, videos, pictures and groups ..

1. Does user taggin work across other stackideas like easydiscuss ?

Unfortunately right now it only works on EasySocial because we use a couple of elements that are not available on other products yet. However, this does seem like a pretty cool idea though.


2. Is there any settings for closed membership sites ? so global posting is disabled sitewide ? and is it a good solution for closed community ?

Currently you can enable "Lockdown mode" and this basically means that only registered users are able to access EasySocial.


3. Option to add videos in categories, is hat planned or anyone knows if this would come?

Full videos support will be added in 1.3.x. As of now, we only support embedding video links and playing videos from the stream


4. What about events? will there come anything for EasySocial for events?

This is the same as Videos where it will only be introduced in 1.3.x

EasySocial does translate URLs as well and EasySocial's multi-lingual support is much more superior than JomSocial Ask anyone here on the site

Group categories are basically like a profile type. In other words, you can have different custom fields for different group categories and this would allow you to create a wide variety of groups on the site
