Hi,

my Feeds importer works now (imports feeds). However, it now only imports the title and Intro text. I saw when browsing the forums that the feeder was now able to import feeds with video. One of my feeds is just video, but none of the videos (or indeed any content) import - jut title, intro.

I have tried selecting import main content but it just disables itself when I save. Also, my feeds used to import an image but this no longer happens.

Can we no longer import main content, videos etc.? Or is this just another settings issue on my part?

Kind regards

Mel
Hello Mel,

Please replace the attached file in: ../administrator/components/com_easyblog/themes/default/feeds/form.php and resave your feed settings. Make sure you have turn on this setting: http://screencast.com/t/gg19LJZzC20q . If this doesn't work, can you provide us your FTP access so we can check on it?

Hi Nik,

many thanks for the fast response.

I have changed that file, and it now lets me import main text etc. However it still doesn't import videos. I have added ftp details below as requested. The last 2 feeds in my feeds list are the ones that mostly have videos, which are the main news sites.

One last thing, I had to change the name of a category, and although the feeds go in to it, I cannot get the category to display. I even deleted it then re-created it and it still doesn't show. I have added the ID to the EasyBlog Categories module (for Industry News) and also re-saved the blog menu link, none of which display the category either on the from page or in the sidebar Categories menu.

Hello Mel,

I've tried to access your backend but failed. Same goes to your FTP.

Hi Nik,

I have added the details again - maybe it was a typo on my part? Can you try again?

Kind regards

Hi Nik,

my apologies, I switch access off when I am not active

I have re-activated and existing credentials should work.

I have upgraded to v 0.14 but I can still only import titles and intro (try BBC feed which are last 2 in my feed importer list.

Kind regards

Hello Mel,

I've checked the rss from the bbc and seems like the it has the same content with your imported feed. For example, this post: http://screencast.com/t/OnLlq2GKvqs . Did missed anything? Please advise.

Hi Nik,

Have a look at the last feed under Health entitled: VIDEO: NHS 'should do better' on survival

In my imported feed there is no video, however this is the feed url: http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/health/rss.xml

If you click on the link (second item) it has a video. Should it bring that video in?

Hi Nik,

ah that's a shame. Is it something that it may be able to do in the future?

Thanks for your help anyway and sorry for the confusion

Hello Mel,

We haven't had a plan about this yet. I will bring this to our developer and see how it goes.
