That's because it failed to fetch the full content from the remote site. It's not 100% full proof because it will actually connect just like how you connect to their site and it will try to extract the contents from the site.

Hmm, i have the permission to fully import the content. So this is the fault from the provider?

Hi Dennis,

I am sorry for the confusion. What Mark mean is that, the feed importer cannot 100% extract the blog content accurately. Most of the time if a blog post is a simple page ( simple html structure), EasyBlog will have no issue extracting the content. However, in the modern days, a single blog post page might contain a very complicated layout structure. In that case, the feed importer might not able to extract the content accurately. Thats is why we have the option to turn off getting full content from the blog post in your feed setting.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Sam,

the provider is a commercial provider of feeds, so the importer should be able to handle this?
What is the solution now?

That is really dissapointing that the importer is not able to import a simple rss feed... My decision to choose/renew eb was mainly based on the import tool. Please update the tool to get it work

Hi Dennis,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, I am sorry but EasyBlog feed importer failed to fetch the content due to the complexity of the page layout from the posts in your feed We will try to improve the way the feed importer extracting the content from a page.

For now, maybe you can disable the option 'get full content' from your feed setting.

Thanks and I apologise for any inconvenient that may have caused to you.

Have a nice day!
