With the right setup, you can try assigning a recent photos or albums module to a position within the homepage menu item and see whether its showing properly.

I have experimented with both those modules the problem however is;

Easysocial Recent Photos shows the thumbnails so small they might as well not be there and it crops them all to landscape - a 1x1 crop or no crop at all would be better.

Easysocial Album has the opposite problem it shows huge images that are highly pixelated album covers.

In reality the better solution is the recent photos module but we need a way to control the number of images shown, the size and crop of the thumbnails. And in a perfect world we would just want it linked to 'featured images' based on the date they were marked featured rather than on a specific album.

Is there anyway to configure easysocial to do this or can you recommend an external addon that can/will.

For the recent photos module, it is possible to configure the number of images shown. Size and crop may of images may be possible through custom css and overrides.

However, there is no simple way to show 'featured images' in the module.
