Hello,

I am trying to setup a module to show only featured blogs from a specific category.
Everything i have tried always shows Featured Items from ALL categories not the Specified category.

I am using mod_latestblogs

For the module i have set the following parameters.

Module:
Module Type: Latest Posts
Routing Behavior: Default behavior
Routing Behavior: Guide (this is the menu item to the blog)

Latest Post Parameters
Categories: High Schools
Only Featured Posts: Yes

Latest Category Post Parameters
Categories: High Schools
Show avatar: No
Show post count: No

The result is list of All Featured items across ALL categories.
See link provided *

The Menu item for the blog page is:

Menu Item Type: Single Category layout
Category *: High Schools

Any suggestions on how to fix will be great.
Hi Mark,

I have helped you fix this issue. It seems like you have missed this setting in your site. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/UsvEmXas3cYv . The customization in the file attached by my colleague earlier only works in latest post.

Can you please verify for me this issue is fixed?

Hello Mark,

Actually it is not a bug. Once you have chose to display featured post, Easyblog will get all featured posts regardless of which category the post belongs to. Attached is a modified file that will check for category. Please replace the attached file in: ../modules/mod_latestblogs/helper.php and see how it goes.

Hi Mark,

I am sorry for the late reply.
Have you checked the setting at the module, Only Featured Post = Yes. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/PH6wkXX63Cr0 .

If this issue is still persist, perhaps you can provide us with backend access and FTP access so that we can further assist you on this issue.

Please advise.
