Actually "Feature This Photo" makes the photo more attractive and enlarge a little in the Story Photo to let users to pay more attention to it.

It would be amazingly useful if it could instead add it to an album called 'Featured Photos' and then we could use a module to display the featured photos in a prominent place on the site.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it is not possible to achieve this yet in EasySocial.

Perhaps it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues here by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request" so that everyone else could vote for it. We will prioritize this feature during the development process for the next major version of EasySocial if there are more people request on this.
