Hi,

We need the API for EasyBlog & EasySocial from Stackideas to develop Mobile Apps for either EB or ES based websites?

It would be great if we have the APIs developed by Stackideas themselves instead of relying on the costly third-party solutions.

EasyBlog & EasySocial are both full blown Pro Joomla extensions. Its bit down that we still don't have the APIs builtin or Mobile Apps available for them apart from the third-party Mobile Apps with hefty / unaffordable prices.

Please vote for the feature if you also agree on this?

Thanks,
Imran
I agree! But we have very limited resources currently This is something that has been in my head for about a year now!

Hello Mark,

If the people are interested in the feature (APIs) and are willing to contribute an amount towards the development phase & may be are offered some shares of it or discount on the selling price, I think, that might solve the current hurdle?

Imran

Hello Imran,

Certainly, if there are more interests in this and there is a crowd funding for this, we could certainly hire one or two guys to get on board to develop this.

However, this is where it get's tricky. The majority 95% of the customers really don't care about such API and to develop such API, it needs a lot of time and love to get this awesome API out

Hello Mark,

If considering just the EasyBlog API, how long estimated time the development could take (with all the front-end feature integration that full EB Pro offers)?

Hello Imran,

To be honest with you, I do not have any ETA on this but EasyBlog already has an XMLRPC api out of the box. Why don't you consider riding on that instead of REST API?

I believe this is what the guys at Techjoomla has been doing.

Hello Mark,

Is there any documentation for the XMLRPC API? Where do I look for the development resource for it?

I found this in the EB documentation but it seems to have been discontinued: https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/plugins/xmlrpc-plugin

Imran
