I have problem with favicon .ico.
favicon has been changed ascan be seen : peradaban.co.id/templates/wanderers/favicon.ico
but always showing stackideas logo favicon on chrome and mozilla. OK on IE.
even we clear cache on both several times.

Anything make browser like chrome redirect somewhere to the logo of stack ideas on my site?

Please help to solve.

Thank you.
Hi there,

It is most likely due to the browser cache for both of your chrome and firefox. I just tested this locally and it took quite some time for the icon to change in my local pc. Perhaps you can try to clear every cache in your joomla and browser cache and then wait for 1 or 2 days and see how it goes.

Hi there,

I am not really sure why do you want to move the file to joomla root folder but unfortunately joomla will only detect the favicon inside your template folder instead of joomla root folder.

it is because of this link : <link type="image/fav.icon" rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php echo TEMPLATE_URI;?>/images/favicon.ico"/>
I replace :/images/favicon.ico to : wanderers/favicon.ico

the idea is from : https://docs.joomla.org/Changing_the_site_favicon

But I'm not a programmer, only trial to do this. Now i see my own web favicon.
But please info if it is a bad way and will affecting other things.

Thank you.

Hey dudi,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

Perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access in your next reply? (screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/Yma02En7s )

Because we're in the midst of moving all of our support into a centralized system and we're going to be using our forums instead.
