Hello,

when I try to open a blog post onn the backend, I get this message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method EB::request() in /homeXXXXXXX/public_html/XXXXXX/administrator/components/com_easyblog/models/model.php on line 40

Thanks for your answer
Hi Simon,

I have inspected you site and it seem like you are using easyblog 4.0 version of code inside easyblog 3.9 version code. the code you having right now is not compatiable with you easyblog 3.9

Do you have make any modification for this file?

By the way do you want to update your easyblog version ?

Ok, but in my backend, I can see that I use EasyBlog 3.9.24862.
So what can I do to edit my blog post?

Yes, Id' love to update to the latest EasyBlog version. I've already tried, it cause some problem with the vintage template that I used.

Hey Simon,

Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.9.x or older to 5.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.

update us went you have done backup for you site before do upgrading.
