After installing EasyBlog 5.15 I get a fatal error when clicking on a blog from the front page. I am forced to disable all blogs on my website until this gets fixed.

Here is the error message:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/petdietd/public_html/components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php53/pear') in /home/petdietd/public_html/plugins/opengraph/easyblog/easyblog.php on line 41

What is the quick fix for this?

Rene
No, the directory doesn't exist for me. But... try disabling the Opengraph plugin and see what happens. Are you actively trying to use it?

It looks like I am missing the following directory and file:

public_html/components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php

The "helpers" directory does not exist in this location on my system. Of course the helper.php file also does not exist in this location.

Can anyone verify that these directories/files exist?

Hi David,

Thanks. I disabled the JFBConnect open graph plugin for EasyBlog and the fatal error is gone.

Nice! If you find you need it later, contact SourceCoast and see what they can do to correct it. I'm wondering if it was an older version not compatible with EB's update.

Hi David,

Yes it is an outdated component. Was working fine until the EasyBlog 5 update.

Hey Rene,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You most likely hit this error because JFBConnect was relying on EasyBlog 3.9's file and it no longer exist on EasyBlog 5 because we did a major revamp on the entire code architecture
