i'm getting stuck on "Initializing Database" when trying to update easyblog.

Through FTP upload joomla install from folder.
Through Update mechanism in Joomal.
Both fail.

Please can you take a look - I seem to always encounter an issue with the update to easyblog - can you let me know where I am going wrong - or which is the most reliable method to upgrade.

Many thanks
Hi there,

Can you first do backup on your site and let us know once we have your permission to install/update/resintall your Easyblog. We will continue check them further.

Please advice.

Thank you - I've created a backup of the website/database and would like you to have a go at resolving the issue by updating / reinstalling.

Thank you.

We have had a strange issue, I'm mentioning it encase its related - where some blogs we attempt to save fail, with no apparent rhyme or reason. Through trial an error we can cut it down in size and it works (but no use as its only half the length !).

hey Paul,

If I am not wrong, you running very older version of Easyblog like 2.x or 3.x before you perform an upgrade, it might be some of the table already deprecated in the latest version so some where still required to load those table so caused this update failed.

Anywhere this issue no longer persists when you update to next version.
