Hi Team,

i upgraded my joomla from 3.8.3 to 3.9.13.
And then, i tried to upgrade ED from 4.0.22 to 4.1.12. However, it just hung up (see the attachment t.png).
You can see the error message in e.png.

Thanks,
Kacie
Hi Kacie,

Are there any permissions set on EasyDiscuss core files which may prevent smooth installation process?

Can you provide us the site's backend and ftp access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can assist you with the upgrade?

Hey Kacie,

Can you try the following? (Remember to backup files first before you edit them)

1. Edit JoomlaFolder/libraries/vendor/joomla/filesystem/src/File.php and change $filename to $file(attach1). This will show you the path of the file in the error.

2. Try install EasyDiscuss again and see what is the path of the file that hits the issue.

3. Once you get the file path from step 2, rename that file and try installing again.

Let us know the result after trying these steps.

Hi Raymond,

I just found that after the upgrade, there are some files that are gone, that causes the error.
if I uploaded these files, the error is gone.
