I was having trouble auto-posting blogs to Facebook that are schedule to be published in the future. The auto-posting was working prior to a recent upgrade of EasyBlog, so I revoked and reenabled access again, hoping that did the trick.

My question relates to this message, which appeared only after I re-synced: "Facebook automatically expires the validity of the token after 60 days."

My question is: Do I have to renew the token every 60 days? I'm wondering if this was the reason the auto-posting stopped in the first place.

Cheers!
Alex
Hey Alex,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Yes, that is correct. This is the new requirements set by Facebook and they no longer provide lifetime token access

The new requirements set by Facebook enforces that all apps re-authenticates on the 59th day since the initial token generation

It's annoying I know, but this is unfortunately not something that we could control

Hi Mark,

No apology needed! Hope you are enjoying your holiday and I appreciate you taking time to reply. I agree it is a bummer about that. Other than setting up a reminder in my calendar, I can't see another way to deal with it.

If I press the renew token button, before the 59th day will it renew for another 60 days from that point on? (I assume that is all that is required - i.e. renewing the token by pressing the button).

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex,

Not a problem at all Yep, if you press the renew button, it'll extend the token for another 60 days
