Hi

There is a problem with the Facebook Share button t the bottom of each Blog Post.

I have seen two issues:

On some occasions when you click the share button it links from another post
If it does share into Facebook correctly, then onward shares from within Facebook pick up a link to another Blog

An example Blog is here: Title

I'd really appreciate any advice.

Cheers

Dave
Hello Dave,

When I tried to access the link that you just shared and clicked on the Share button of Facebook, this is what is appearing in the popup, http://screencast.com/t/kw9h14r3 . Am i missing anything here?

Hi Mark

Sometimes it shows correctly and sometimes not however, even when it displays as you see it and you share it and it displays fine in Facebook, when you want to share onwards from within Facebook it picks up a different Blog link.

I've had this from two different people today on that same Blog post.

Weird!

Does that mke any sense?

Thanks
Dave

Hi

If you click Share from the timeline in Facebook, the popup box then contains the wrong blog post.

Screenshots attached.

Thanks

Hello Dave,

I have tested a few times to click SHARE link from my Facebook,
see my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/AzpC6z2q3tDH (Facebook) || http://screencast.com/t/Oqm8cQPbhJ (show correctly the blog post)
But i still can't reproduce on your issues like you attached the screenshot at above.

Also, i have put your blog post URL to Facebook debugger tool -> https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
>>https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.clean-shield.co.uk%2Fnews%2Fentry%2Fgloucester-legend-andy-hazell
what result i getting is ->
Object at URL 'http://www.clean-shield.co.uk/news/entry/gloucester-legend-andy-hazell' of type 'article' is invalid because the given value '' for property 'fb:app_id' could not be parsed as type 'fbid'.

Let's try put your Admin ID and App ID in your backend > Easyblog > Setting > Social integration > Facebook LIKE
>> http://screencast.com/t/tydwuEhQo (try fill in your Admin ID and App ID)
Then post your blog post to facebook debugger tool and see what result you get, if everything okay,
clear your Joomla cache and browser cache then click SHARE button from your blog post > then click SHARE link from your facebook account and see how it goes.

Hi Arlex

I've added the ID deatils as you said and cleared out the Joomla and Browser cache.

But when I click the share button from the Blog Post, I get the attached screenshot. The share URL (circled) seems to be referencing the correct Blog post, but the Blog (arrowed) is completely different.

Any other ideas?

Thanks
Dave

Hello Dave,

Your issue here is pretty weird as we can't seem to reproduce this on our end. Perhaps when you hit this error again, can you do us a favor and copy the URL from the address bar and paste it here?

Hello Dave,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Also, I have paste your URL blog post to Facebook debugger tool, the result is :
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.clean-shield.co.uk%2Fnews%2Fentry%2Fgloucester-legend-andy-hazell

Object at URL 'http://www.clean-shield.co.uk/news/entry/gloucester-legend-andy-hazell' of type 'article' is invalid because the given value '203980122949286' for property 'fb:admins' could not be parsed as type 'fbid'.

It seems like your Admin ID is Facebook page right? -> https://www.facebook.com/cleanshieldltd
For the Admin ID should be put your Facebook account ID, you can get your facebook account ID number example : https://graph.facebook.com/yourname
After that clear all the cache and see it could help?
