The facebook integration was working properly. Now, after asking the user to login to facebook, the page refreshes to the main community login page again rather than logging them in. I have checked all settings and hope you can guide us in the proper direction to resolving this issue quickly. You can see this from the homepage. Please let us know how we can assist you. Thanks
Hi Todd,

I am really sorry for the delayed reply.
I have found the issue. It seems like you have set this setting OAuth Registrations at Profile Type. Registration type = Require admin approval. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/bTRGcBerb . So, in order to use this type, you need to approve their registration first before they can login to your site.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mohd,

I wouldn't consider your reponse slow Do appreciate your prompt reply. Looked into your suggestion and changed it to automatic, still
obtain an error before Facebook popup closes saying something to the effect "password cannot be empty". It also does not log me into the system, returns me to login screen.

More importantly, when a user selects to sign in or register with Facebook, *no* user account is being created in the backend, it should pull the profile cover/photo as well. After I attempt to register with Facebook, I receive the above error on the popup window, then I'm redirected to the original login screen with a message that I must login first. So not sure that is the actual cause of the problem??? Please advise how we might resolve this, thank you and look forward to hearing from you!

Also Mohd, wanted to mention that we are now seeing an issue that could be related...since making the OAuth change, and clearing cache yesterday, now all users who log in, including Super User are redirected to a page that is not accessible..returning a 404 error page. This is a pretty major issue. i could create another ticket..let me know if that is necassary.

This page is *not* what is set in our EasySocial settings...it is set to redirect to the Audio/Video menu..and was working fine yesterday.

Please let me know if this is related..as I don't understand why this would be occuring now.. again we did clear Joomla cache yesterday but I wouldn't think this should would cause this type of behavior.

Appreciate any help and insight you can offer. Best,

Yes, the Facebook login seems to be working properly now. Thanks again Mohd for the quick fix. BTW, what was the issue, did you make any changes we should be aware of if we upgrade? Thanks

Also, did you happen to make any changes that would effect the login redirect as I mentioned in my last message... it is still redirecting to an image file for all users (You can test the TempAdmin login as well) and we have it set to redirect to Audio-Video menu. Only tested in Firefox (not other browsers) Not sure why this would happen? Any ideas we can look into, would you like us to create a new ticket? Much appreciated!

HI Todd,

I am sorry, while we debugging your site just now, we have turn off the t3 framework and change the template. Unfortunately we missed to noted down which template you're using. Can you kindly tell us which template you're using so that we can revert back the changes?

Regarding the redirection when login, we have apply some fix on your site. I suspected that the template or module is responsible in storing the session in your site. After we have cleared the session, no redirection to that image file anymore. Can you please verify this for me?

I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused and please advise.

Hello Mohd,

the login redirect seems to be fixed. Glad to see this. The facebook login seems to be working properly now as well THANK YOU!!. However, not sure what changes you made to the template structure, as now our dropdown menus dont appear, please see attached image showing this (or you can visit JoomlArt site and look at the Teline-V template). To answer your question, we use several of the Teline-V templates for different portions of our site depending on the look and feel we desire and user role.

Currently, none of the Teline-V templates have the dropdown showing (could be related to the T3 framework change???) and appreciate your help in resolving this issue. Finally, please let us know briefly what/where changes were made so that when we update we dont run into additional issues and have upset customers. Much appreciated!

Also Mohd, wanted to let you know that just tested the Facebook signin/registration on mobile (iPhone Safari and Opera browsers) and doesn't appear to be working at all. And if we delete the account in Joomla (so we can test again) it doesn't allow us to register/sign in using Facebook. Cleared cache in Joomla and still issue persists. Please advise. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Todd Stabenow,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

I've checked in your menu item, it seems like only Account menu item contain the child menu item, check my screenshot below.

Perhaps you could provide to us more information about this case? Because what we did is just re-save your template configuration setting.

Regarding with your Facebook signin/registration on mobile (iPhone Safari and Opera browsers) not working issues :
>> Can i have permission to help you update to latest version of Easysocial.
>> Because you're using very older version of Easysocial now.
>> If you have do any customization work, please do a backup on your site first.

Hello Arlex,

Greatly appreciate your prompt response. Yes, attempted to upgrade EasySocial previously and it wasn't smooth..so decided to hold off. If you wish to give it a try, feel free...we have already created a full backup.

As for the parent/child menu....of course I'm aware of the ones you provided screenshots for, since I created them The screenshot I provided (see attched URL) clearly shows the dropdowns, which are *not* sub/child menus. They are part of the Teline-V template.,..based on T3 framework. Mohd's comment above suggest the T3 was turned off and template was changed, not sure what was changed but it is likely related to why the dropdown menu is not showing from the Main Menu's...again this is *not* a child/sub menu....perhaps a module/plugin??? not sure. However, since this stopped working on the same day you made changes, and we have not launched our site yet, we believe it is highly likely it is related to changes made by StackIdeas team, especially since Mohd mentioned T3/template chnages. We are asking for your help in resolving this issue. PLEASE.. we request that any changes, modification that *will OR have been* completed to be documented so that we do not have issues reoccurring in the future when we upgrade. Again, appreciate you and your teams help in tackling this issue, with documentation Kind Regards,

Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Yes, I can access in your Cpanel access, perhaps you create another Super administrator account for me? So that we can help you update to latest version of Easysocial and check on that issues?

Hi Arlex, when you say "back-end", are you referring to ftp or Joomla. With the screenshot you provided, I assume it is FTP? As far as Joomla, you have a Super USer account with password provided previously, just tested it again and works fine. Regardless, you have everything you need, full access...do whatever you need to. Full backup has been created...please try not to crash or corrupt the database. As mentioned earlier, we would like all changes that have already been done (by Mohd, etc.), and will be done to be fully documented so that we are aware of them.

Hi,

I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused. It seems like this ticket have been dragged and I believe we might have miscommunication somewhere above. Let me simplify this issue.
1. Facebook sign-in/registration on mobile (iPhone Safari and Opera browsers) and doesn't appear to be working at all. Link
It seems like we do not have the access to your Joomla backend. Can you provide us back the access so that we can assist you further on this issue.
Can I have your permission to update EasySocial to the latest? Please take note that this update will override all customization in EasySocial core files.

2. Dropdown menus don't appear. Link
I am really sorry about this. While I'm debugging your site before, I have turn off the t3 framework and change the template. However, I missed to note down which template you're using. So, I've tried assigning each template back to meet your initial template, unfortunately, the dropdown menu is missing. I might not know which menu you're using for the dropdown and I'm asking for your kindness to re-assign back the dropdown menu so that we can continue assisting you on the other issue. I believe this dropdown menu has nothing to do with your initial issue. I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please advise.

Hello Mohd, hope you are well! Appreciate your message. As you can see from the screenshot we included originally above, it is not really a "dropdown menu", more of a category module that expands when mouse goes over the main menus. It's part of the template, *not* joomla core. I'm not sure what you did to make it not show, so I can't just "turn it on". It likely is related to the T3/template changes you may have performed. As I mentioned to Arlex, we have provided full access to CPanel, etc..so you should be able to make any changes and upgrades without problem. Also, we have never changed your original account access so that should still work as well. Thanks Todd

Hi Todd,

Thanks for your patient and understanding.
I have apply back the menu at your site. Can you please check it for me?

About Facebook sign-in/registration on mobile (iPhone Safari and Opera browsers), I can't replicate this issue with your site. I have successfully registered and login to your site using IPhone 5 and opera browsers. Am I missing anything here?

Please advise.

Hello Mohd, The menu's look better, however you can see that the "Entertainment" dropdown module (menu) is not displaying properly. Would you please correct this and let us know what changes you made to have them reappear?

Also, now notice that it appears we have the same issue with facebook registration that we had originally. If we delete the Joomla user accounts that were automatically created by EasySocial/FB and then attempt to register or login again, we get an error requesting that we login first. So currently we can't really test if this will occur for all users that attempt to register using FB.

As for mobile, again still not working on iPhone Safari and Opera...launches new window and gives password error (similar to the original issue we were seeing on the PC and why we opened this ticket.) We will test again with another phone to ensure it is not an issue a local issue with that phone.

Appreciate your patience and continued efforts! My best,

Hi Todd,

I am sorry for the late reply.

I have helped you fix the menu. By the way, the "Entertainment" menu do not have any sub-menu with it. So, I cannot make it display.

Regarding this issue,
Also, now notice that it appears we have the same issue with Facebook registration that we had originally. If we delete the Joomla user accounts that were automatically created by EasySocial/FB and then attempt to register or login again, we get an error requesting that we login first. So currently we can't really test if this will occur for all users that attempt to register using FB.

It seems like you're using an older version of EasySocial v1.3.13 and the latest version is v1.3.22. Can you try update EasySocial to the latest? I believe we already have addressed this issue in the latest version. Having said so, please do remember that if you have done customization to EasySocial core files, please do backup those files because the new version will override it.

Regarding this issue,
As for mobile, again still not working on iPhone Safari and Opera...launches new window and gives password error (similar to the original issue we were seeing on the PC and why we opened this ticket.) We will test again with another phone to ensure it is not an issue a local issue with that phone.

I am sorry as I can't replicate this issue on our end. However, we'll try test this issue with another device whether we can replicate this issue or not.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused and please update us back.
Thanks for your support.

Hi Mohd, hope my message finds you well.
The "Entertainment" *DOES* display a dropdown menu, it's just the layout and formatting appears different than the other menus. You can see this on the main site without needing to log in. Again don't wish to place "blame", but the Entertainment dropdown issue is something your team created while attempting to fix the facebook issues.

Regarding ES upgrade. already gave Arlex permission to upgrade ES (See above) and mentioned to him that we had an issue upgrading previously, so you have full access. As for customization, we should not have any, but this is also why we have continued to ask that you document the changes you are making so we avoid issues while upgrading..see messages above.

Please check with Arlex on why no upgrade has been performed, and if you/he can complete this to see if it will resolve the FB issues we would be greatly appreciative! Otherwise, we will need to explore other login options. Thanks again for all your help and continued efforts!!! Best,

Hi Todd,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,
Regarding with your Menu missing issues :
First we are really apologized about that Because we changed your template for troubleshoot that issues before didn't note down which is your current template assigned.
Based on my observation and comparison with your other menu item -> http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-20_1900.png
How it display all your item on that particular menu item is based on your Joomla article category.
check my first screenshot : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-20_1902.png
So it will not display anything at "Entertainment" menu item. Perhaps you still remember what menu item display on that particular area, you can share with us.

Regarding the Facebook registration/login issues :
After debugging long time ago, I've tried to changed your template to use Joomla default Protostar template and at the same time I disabled with your T3 Framework, Ajax - JA Content Type and all your Joobi - __ plugin and test again the Facebook login in Easysocial.

This is what I get the result, Check my second screenshot below. (To reproduce this, you need to follow my above step and make sure your browser clear all the cookies, cache, history, and the Facebook account is first time trying to register in your site)
Fatal error: Class 'JATemplateHelper' not found in /home/kosmoses/public_html/templates/ja_teline_v/html/com_content/category/blank.php on line 3

This is that error I face after completed the registration.
This is the reference link I found : http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JATELINEV-171
Can you try consult with your current template provider regarding this and keep us updated then?

Hello Arlex, appreciate your prompt follow-up. When inserting links into the support ticket, it would be far better for StackIdeas support system to automatically have those links open in new tabs......as I was responding to your message and looked above, selected your link to JoomlArt and it began to load a new page to that URL, in the same page as th support ticket...of course I knew it would likely remove all the text I had already typed ...since this "system" does not auto-save, but before I could stop the load it had already changed pages and I lost the content and time already taken writing the message Again, autosave a customers message in the support forum OR make links default to "new window" would be very helpful and respectful!

Now to retype what had already been typed....The "Entertaiment" menu seems to be working correctly now, this could have been a cache issue or something??? Either way,it seems to be working properly now...happy we ave that back to the way it was before Also, it seems ES is up to date, thank you!!!

As far as FB login, we can't be expected to create new FB accounts each time we wish to test the system, so not sure why after deleting an account in Joomla, it will not start over fresh and allow reg/login from FB? And we still have similar issue showing on mobile, although we have not tested on other devices yet. It seems you believe we should kick it over to JoomlArt and I just don't want this to go back and forth. Please advise as to how best to proceed.

Quick Update Arlex, just retested the FB login on iPhone Safari and PC, appear to be working properly even with prior user accounts that were deleted in Joomla! May have been resolved with the ES update. think we can close this issue....please pass along the autosave/"open in new window" comments from last message

Hi Todd,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here and make you re-type again on above answer

By the way, thanks for your suggestion and we will see if we can improve this way in the future.

Please find your answer in your queries below :
Now to retype what had already been typed....The "Entertaiment" menu seems to be working correctly now, this could have been a cache issue or something??? Either way,it seems to be working properly now...happy we ave that back to the way it was before Also, it seems ES is up to date, thank you!!!

Yes, maybe the caching issues.

As far as FB login, we can't be expected to create new FB accounts each time we wish to test the system, so not sure why after deleting an account in Joomla, it will not start over fresh and allow reg/login from FB? And we still have similar issue showing on mobile, although we have not tested on other devices yet. Because I suspect your site having cache issues, so just make sure using new FB account to test this.

Since you tested everything is working now, I will mark this thread as resolved and lock it to avoid any confusions in the future, but if you need any help please feel free to start a new thread in our forums.
