Using the stock ES login Facebook form, after a user registers their Facebook and then tries to login. It runs in a continuos loop from facebook login then to ES login page, from which it just redirects to the ES login page but never to the ES stream.

Any ideas?
Hey Bruce,

I already help you solve this, it seems like you have set this plugin - Authentication - EasySocial to only "register user " can access , so it always fail when you sign in via Facebook is because it will through this plugins to process user login via Facebook.

Hope this helps.

Do you have a URL I can take a look at? Also, what do you have these set to?

I'm going into the realm of guesswork here as this functionality I've not used yet, but I'm wondering if something of your Facebook App is misconfigured. When first clicking on Sign in with Facebook, it should give a popup with basically a handshake saying "Yes, I allow this site to talk to Facebook and do the following things with my account". I can see it trying to do that with the following permissions parameters in the popup URL:

&scope=publish_stream%2Cpublish_actions%2Cemail%2Cuser_birthday%2Cuser_relationships&display=popup

The most I can try to do is replicate the issue on my site, but while we're waiting on SI to respond (really delayed responses given it's the weekend now), double-check your API config on your site and the settings defined on your Facebook App.

Mind you my settings were mostly stock, I didn't have a problem with auto-login. However, our scope is radically different:
&scope=email%2Cuser_birthday%2Cuser_location&display=popup

I did notice an error thrown that publish_stream was depreciated and so I disabled that. This will have to be updated on SI's side. I'm uncertain about user_relationship, though. I'm working with a fresh install of ES1.3.28.

Checking this, it's possible you'll want to try disabling Allow Updating Timeline under Settings>Facebook>Registration as publish_stream is indeed depreciated.

Hi Bruce Wilson,

Thanks for getting back us quickly,

I can access in your Facebook account now and adjusted some setting from your Facebook app ( http://screencast.com/t/IAq3GGY5 )

Can you login this user account "Bruce Douglas Wilson" from your frontpage then click sign in via Facebook and see how it goes?

If still can't work well, can you provide us with this superadmin user account(Bruce Douglas Wilson) access?
