Hi

I am having trouble wit the Facebook bookmark on EasyBlog posts - I have tried altering lots of settings but cannot resolve

I have tried using both bookmark widgets but I get the same result with both.

In short, when I bookmark to LinkedIn or Pinterest I get images plus text and the correct URL. But when I bookmark to Facebook I do not get image or text - I have uploaded some images.

Many thanks

R

Hey Richard,

It seems like you have enable this "Gzip Page Compression" from your system global Joomla configuration page, I have help you disabled it, it should work fine now, actually that was known issue on Joomla regarding the Gzip compression and facebook scrapping.

Try paste one of your blog URL link in Facebook debugger tool page -> https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ then click on this button `Fetch new scrape information` .

After that go back on your blog page and click on LIKE or SHARE, so it will appear the correct content and image, you can take a look of my attached screenshot below.

Thanks for that tip.....

It seems that Facebook starts to 'learn' the format.... but some pages do not show correctly and when posted in Facebook and different image is chosen than the one displayed.....

I will do some research on how best to optimise this as I guess the problem is not an EasyBlog issue?

Thanks

R.
