Hi i've been trying to save my easysocial facebook integration settings, however, it keeps sending me to an error page (403 forbidden) each time i try to save it. i followed the steps here, (https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/configuration/facebook-configuration) and input my app id and secret etc accordingly.

i have logged in with my super user account into my console to do the changes and have all rights to make changes i believe.

can anyone help me with this ? I'm not sure what's wrong as i have logged in and out, and waited say 2 hours before trying again and it keeps hitting with the 403 error
Also , i don't know why , there seems to be something wrong with my subscription in the panel. it says i don't have a valid subscription .... attached the screenshot. please advise. thank you !

Hi there,

It seems that i am not given full access to your backend as you can see here http://take.ms/eq0sE. Maybe you can provide us with your Facebook also so that we can further check this issues on our end. Please advice.

by the way i just tried to generally save the changes made for the social settings under facebook but keep on hitting the 403 page. so i don't think its the FB part thats causing it ? could it be because there's something wrong with the system in recognizing my valid licence ?

Hi there,

It seems that i can replicate them on your end. May i have your FTP access credentials for further check on this issues? By the way, it seems that your current Easysocial not installed correctly, can i re-install them for you?

Sure please do the necessary and restore as per the current existing configs should be fine .

May i know what will you be checking for the ftp access ?

Actually, it is hard for us to detect why it behave that way. We need to debug your backend area and why i got redirected. It would be best if you can provide us with full access permission so that we can further check this issues.

Hi sorry i accidentally created a FTP account for the folder only, i have given root access into the site folder now for the account

Can you consult with your current web hosting service provider regarding this whether they know the exact issues why your site hitting this. Keep us update regarding this.

hello i just tried to login and could do so, could you remove those pics with the admin console links please. thank you.

I have just tried on another test site i installed the easy social app on and its experiencing the same issue.

whenever i enter the "settings >> Social >>" page and also "Settings >> Users" and just randomly click on "Save" too .. it enters the 403 crash page.

other tabs seem fine please see the attachment.

this may be a bug from your end .. this only happened after i updated the EasySocial extension ....

is there a working previous version i can do a rollback to ?

it's happening for both the Social and Users tabs now that i checked further.

Hi there,

It seems that you have reinstalled your Easysocial currently. By the way, this issues, it might be becuased your server have redirected it and caused this issues to happen. I have tested this on my end, and seems that i cannot replicate this issues locally.

i have submited a ticket with my hosting provider, is there any email or contact # from your end to contact perhaps i can sync them up with your end to find out the issue and resolve it ?

Maybe we can wait for their response first and see whether those issues comes from our end or not. Thanks for your understanding.

hello so btw, now i have the same issue with the "settings>>users" tab and hitting the 403 error page .... when i click on save. should i open a new ticket or should we keep this as a related issue to this original case ?

hello they have cleared the path and updated they had blocked certain functions / paths and have whitelisted the path for my site now.

just tested and the error page is gone.
