There is an error retrieving your Facebook details. Facebook returns an error message of: "An active access token must be used to query information about the current user."

keep getting this after upgrading to 1.2 rc1.

deleted the oauth mysql and reinstalled. Facebook apps set up corectly, and worked fine in 1.1.6.... help?
Hello Greg,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Greetings,

I too am encountering this error on an additional website that is not my primary. I realize that no support will be offered, however, if you do find a solution please let me know. Our EasySocial version is 1.1.6 and have had this version for two weeks. This issue just started occurring today around 3:00PM.

Hello Jordan,

We don't actually have the solution to this yet as we don't have the access to test this But if there's a resolution, I will post them here

Yeah feeling this issue as well.
Kind of a deal breaker, because now I can't edit my own profile on my site.

Same error whenever I click "edit my profile"

Hello James,

Hm, this seems like a pretty old issue but I probably think that it's due to some misconfiguration of your Facebook application. Can you please start a new thread in the forum and provide us with your Facebook login credentials and also your site's login credentials so that we can look into this?

I have same problem as James, with the edit profile throwing that error...and I use JFBConnect, so it is not a facebook app configuration error. It is the edit profile in the latest version that has problems.

Hello Jannik Laursen,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,
That was many possibilities to causing this issues, may i have your Facebook access so we can help you check on this? If the Facebook apps configuration everything is fine, then we can get rid of this possibility factor then investigate on other thing.

I would personally prefer that you start a new thread instead.

As requested, here is a dedicated post to the problem which I just posted: http://stackideas.com/forums/edit-profile-active-access-token-error

P.S. I do have it one or two threads with reported bugs where I mentioned this problem. Here is a thread with it mentioned too: http://stackideas.com/forums/reposting-post-causes-two-bugs-using-jfbconnect-breaks-edit-profile

Hello James,

Can you please provide us with the Facebook login credentials? It would be much easier for us to edit your app directly.

Hello James,

The facebook account that you have provided is not a normal user account on Facebook. Please provide us with the personal account because Facebook doesn't allow the page account to create apps.

Hi Mark,

I can assure you that the account has access to my existing app and the ability to create a new one.

I have just checked, created and deleted an app with that account. I don't believe Facebook allows page accounts anymore.

Login to Facebook with the account provided and then visit developers.facebook.com and click on the apps drop down. You will see my existing app, that you may edit. I have confirmed this just now also.

Any dramas let me know, but I cannot provide you with open access to my personal account.

Hello James,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I am referring to this issue.
Same error whenever I click "edit my profile" .

I have fixed this issue with your site. Can you have it a look? Here my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/e8KAzjsBx1x . It is because your Facebook apps doesn't configured completely. Deauthorize Callback URL and Valid OAuth redirect URIs are empty and App Secret Proof for Server API calls = yes.

Hope this will work.
Thanks.
