Hi there,

We just updated to EasyBlog 5.0.16.

After the EasyBlog update, the facebook comments are not displayed at the bottom of the article blogs on the new blogs created after the update. For the blogs created before the update, the facebook comments continue to be displayed normally. The same happens in the blogs listing page. For the blogs created after the update no comments are displayed as you can see in the following link.

http://www.penaltara.com/blog

Is this a new option that we have to select? Because the facebook comments are already selected under the path components>EasyBlog>Settings>comments>integrations

Regards,

Phivos Constantinou
Hello Phivos.

Can you provide us with joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on this issue directly?

Dear Izzan,

We sent the details needed through a reply to the email received, as we did not want to post these details in the forum. Thank you.

Hi Phivos,

I've checked your entry "Test Article 38" and it seems like you disabled the comment for that entry as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/rtkldDRDZbw . When I enabled it, the facebook comment is shown correctly for the "Test Article 38".

Hope these can clarify the issue that you are facing currently.

Dear Ezrul,

Thank you for the prompt response. It seems that some options were deselected after the update. We want this option to be automatically selected on new blogs.

We still face the issue. For example we created a new blog right now and the comments are not displayed. Try to create a blog from a user (not a super user). Please use the following:

- Edited -

and you will see that no comments are displayed on new blog created. Thank you.

Hey Phivos,

I've checked the user and also checked their ACL settings for user group "AEL" and it seems like the following option is disabled,
http://screencast.com/t/gsJuTGYk6 . When the options is disabled, the comment will be disabled for their blog post. I've helped you to re-enable the setting and it should working correctly now.

I have similar problem with Komento. Posts dont display it any more. 3rd party integration for Komento is enabled. Is there any other global configuration for it?

Dear Ezrul,

Thank you very much for the prompt response. It works perfect right now. Note that the facebook comments in the internet explorer are not expanding to the full length of the page as you can see in the link if you open it with an internet explorer, but this is minor problem for us right now.

Zafer,

If this happened after an update you performed on the extension, please check all the relevant options. We did the same but it seems that we missed to check the option inside the ACL categories. It seems that an option was deselected once we performed the update.

Hey Phivos,

The "layout" of Facebook comments are actually generated by Facebook's script and we have no control over how it's being displayed
