Components->EasyBlog->Autoposting->Facebook->Standard_Settings

If a user fills out the entire form within this section, but does not save before pressing the "Login to Facebook" button, he or she will receive an error stating that AppID is required (see screencap). It is my opinion that the "Login to Facebook" button show either prompt the user to save or autosave before attempting to connect to Facebook. At the very least, the error message should at least suggest that the cause of the problem may be that the form has not yet been saved.

I forgot to add:

Hello Myra,

You have to save the form first before login with facebook. Please give it a try. If it is not working, you can provide us the access to your backend, FTP and facebook (to check the app).

Nik,

Yes I am aware that you have to save the form first. This is why I logged this as a feature request. Your software can be improved to either 1) save for the user or 2) provide a better error message that would guide the user to saving without having to contact support.

I figured out what was happening. I wanted to log this case to help improve your software.

Regards,
chrissy

Hi Myra,

Thanks for your suggestion. I will forward this to our developers and see how it goes. Maybe this feature can be included in EasyBlog5.

Thanks alot and have a wonderful day ahead.
