Recently I had to revisit the Revoke Access piece of the Facebook Autoposting. After revoking access, then re-logging into Facebook, the token seemed to update again. But after creating a post yesterday, the autopost to Facebook did not work. I no longer see the drop down to select "Post as Facebook Page" like before.

This used to work, so now I'm wondering what I've done wrong. Here's hoping someone can help me understand the Revoke Access token and how that prevents the autoposting from working correctly.

Thank you
Hi Nancy,
This is a known issue and has been fixed internally. Can you download the attached file and apply it into the following directory?
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/oauth/adapters/facebook/client.php
After that, Revoke Access again and re-log in Facebook in the autoposting area.
Let us know how it goes, thanks.

That php file worked great! I was able to see the FB Page listed in the drop down. Then I noticed a newer version (5.1.2) available and installed it.

If I go into the last post and click the Update button, will it still autopost to FB? Finally, if I have my web person adding these blogs on my behalf, do they need to login to the backend of my website as me to get the post to go to FB?

Thank you for your outstanding help!

Hello Nancy,

It depends on your auto posting settings if you have configured EasyBlog to auto post when a post is being updated. Take a look at my screen shot here, http://take.ms/YVVG7

If it was disabled, don't worry as you could always click on the facebook button at the post listing to auto post again, as you can see from my screen here, http://take.ms/xjVIp

Hi Mark--
The autopost was already enabled, and does show the blue colored Facebook icon, but the post has not yet come through FB. Is this a timing issue, or not being logged into Joomla myself?

Thank you again for your great help!

Hello Nancy,

It should already autoposted if it was blue. Is it not appearing on your Facebook page / profile?

No, it's not there. Do I need to be logged into Joomla as me to autopost to FB?

Hey Nancy,
Did you try clicking on the blue Facebook button to share the post(http://take.ms/aXEJp)? If you still do not see the post on your page, would you like us to troubleshoot this? If yes, we would need your Facebook account access so we can login to your FB to investigate the page and the also app.

Hi Raymond--
No need to troubleshoot. Most times, my web person takes care of the blogs for me. When logged into Joomla's backend interface as ME, I was able to share the post on FB without issue.........................of course after upgrading to EB 5.1.3.

Even though my web person has full rights to my website and to my FB Page, apparently autoposting requires my Joomla login to work. You may close this ticket. Thank you for hanging in there with me on this issue.

Hello Nancy,

Hm, sorry but I am actually a little lost here. You don't necessarily need to be logged in to Joomla but you need to be logged in of course to compose and publish your blog post. As soon as you publish the post, it should automatically post to Facebook.

Hi Mark--
I was able to get the post to appear on FB once I logged into Joomla as myself and clicked the blue FB icon. As I said before, my web person typically manages blogs on my behalf and wasn't able to get the blog to auto-post to FB....................until I logged into Joomla's backend interface and was able to post the blog on FB without incident.

Yes, I realize I do not need to be logged into Joomla for a blog to be autoposted to FB. I am aware of that. What my web person did wrong was login with THEIR account instead of mine in Joomla. Autopost does not seem to work if my web person is logged into my website. It only seems to work if I am logged into MY account when the blog is initially created as a scheduled post.

Hope that makes more sense. The issue, in my mind, is resolved.
