Hi,

I try to make an autopost to facebook but it just not working. When click post, nothing happen, then when refesh the post is there. But no post to facebook. Same result for protostart and other themes, frosty...etc...

See it here: https://www.screencast.com/t/jG2c3vLz

Please advice.

Thanks.
Hi there,

You have to 'Add Submission' on this items 'publish_actions' on your Facebook apps as shown http://take.ms/uSE5N first. Then others user apart from your Facebook apps accounts can be post to Facebook as you can refer here https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/social-integrations/facebook-app-configuration on steps 7

Please give it a try first and see how it goes

Hi,

This is a feedback from facebook;
Your screencast doesn't show how the content is published to Facebook from your app, and we weren't able to reproduce the permission on our end either.

How to show a screencast on 'how the content is published to Facebook from your app', when we still don't have a permission?

Please advice,

Thanks.

Hello Syabab,

If you are logged in as Facebook as "Syabab" and the app is created as "Syabab", you can actually auto post it because Facebook allows it to happen regardless if they approve your permissions or not. As long as you are the app creator, it will work.

Here's what I would suggest you to do:

1. Take a screenshot of your composer area where you are drafting your post and publish it.

2. On the back end listing, take a screen shot with the facebook icon indicator (since it is not published yet)

3. Click on the Facebook icon and take a screen shot of the dialog confirming to auto post to Facebook

4. Take a screen shot of the item generated on Facebook and how the content looks like.

If possible, the post that you are trying now should not sound too "spammy" as Facebook will also look at how it is being used. Facebook is a pain in the .....

I am using the apps creator account. But still nothing posted to facebook. I have tried many times and still not working.

I also delete apps from facebook user App Settings, delete user from site, clear cache...login again using facebook login, make a post and click checkbox to post automatically to facebook.

But it still the same results, nothing posted to fb.

Please advice.

Thanks.

Hi,

Maybe you can share this http://take.ms/825LE to Facebook as this image are used when we click social share on your stream.

We can try that.

But that doesn't solved the problem. Like what Mark said here;

I did exactly like he suggested me to do, but the app itself, 'Facebook for EasySocial' is still not automatically posting anything to facebook, even if I login and posting using the Facebook app creator account. In facebook, it just nothing happen.

I'm using fresh install of:

Joomla 3.7.2,
Easysocial 2.0.18 and
Facebook for EasySocial 2.0.2
with default protostar template. It's all fresh and default.

Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

We actually, dont have the exact idea why it behave like that. Actually, we have encounter this before, once you have submit a review for your Facebook App, it will somehow, make the apps not working. Maybe you need to create a new one, without submitting any review yet and see how it goes

Hi,

I still cannot add you as an Administrator. Is it the correct ID? It can only be added using user ID or username, not email.

See attached file.

Hey Syabab,

I've checked the code, it seems like one of the checking blocked this autopost, i will log into our issue tracker regarding this.

For now, i've temporary comment out this line of code from this file JoomlaFolder//media/com_easysocial/apps/user/facebook/facebook.php

// if (!$oauth->push) {

// return;
// }

It should work fine now, can you give it a check?

I am sorry that i provided wrong information in my previous reply, you can ignore my previous reply and I already revert back the code.

After i checked further again, you should have to submit for review for this `publish_actions` user permission from your Facebook app get approval by Facebook reviewer.

If your site user account is that Facebook app owner which setup into that Facebook configuration setting, this user should have 100% permission to autopost to their user profile.

If other user, they do not have permission to do that unless you assign those user to your app administrator roles.

Can you give it a check again?

Hi Arlex,
If your site user account is that Facebook app owner which setup into that Facebook configuration setting, this user should have 100% permission to autopost to their user profile.

As I mentioned before in my reply no.4, 6 & 7, I am using the app creator account.

In reply no.6 I've mentioned this;
I'm using fresh install of:

Joomla 3.7.2,
Easysocial 2.0.18 and
Facebook for EasySocial 2.0.2
with default protostar template. It's all fresh and default.

You've mentioned that it should be work fine if comment out line of code from facebook.php file.
For now, i've temporary comment out this line of code from this file JoomlaFolder//media/com_easysocial/apps/user/facebook/facebook.php

To check this, I have deleted everything and make a new installation of;
Joomla 3.7.2,
Easysocial 2.0.18 and
Facebook for EasySocial 2.0.2
with default protostar template.

This is the result BEFORE comment out that line of code;
User post (App Creator User) = not posted to facebook.
User post (not App Creator User) = not posted to facebook.

This is the result AFTER comment out that line of code;
User post (App Creator User) = succesfully posted to facebook.
User post (not App Creator User) = not posted to facebook.

I use this for app review and permission granted. Here is the results;

This is the result BEFORE comment out that line of code;
User post (App Creator User) = not posted to facebook.
User post (not App Creator User) = not posted to facebook.

This is the result AFTER comment out that line of code;
User post (App Creator User) = succesfully posted to facebook.
User post (not App Creator User) = succesfully posted to facebook.

Could it be a correct fix? Please advice.

Thanks.
