3) The extra fields are being displayed on category pages and not just on blog post pages. Can I turn that off?
If I add data to the extra fields and Update the Post. When I come back in the extra fields data will be gone.

Check out the blog display there for: Effects of a very low fat high fiber diet on serum hormones and menstrual function
I already applied some fix in your site regarding following files, it should work fine now.

JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/views/tags/tmpl/tag.xml
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/nickel/blogs/categories/item.php

Hi there,

You can disable it at your Backend>Components>EasyBlog>Settings>Layout, But it seems that there issues on our end regarding this. It cant be turn off if you are using "nickel" themes on your EasyBlog. I have issued this to our developer and it will be included on next release version of EasyBlog.

Thank you very much. That does explain things. I do like Nickel theme because it now allows to select from 1, 2, 3 or more columns per menu. Nice!

So, I will anxiously look forward to the next EasyBlog release with this Nickel fix.

I found as setting to turn this off on "Listings" and it worked? Seems like the wrong place for that setting. But, I am glad that it worked.

Hi there,

I found as setting to turn this off on "Listings" and it worked? Seems like the wrong place for that setting. But, I am glad that it worked.

Actually, those settings on "Listing" is settings for you frontpage as shown http://prntscr.com/d7tqhb but in category it doesn't works as you can see here http://prntscr.com/d7tqny

The extra fields are being displayed on category pages and not just on blog post pages. Can I turn that off?

As you stated on your first question, "Listing" section setting wont worked for "Category" section. Please advice.

Hi there,

Interestingly on my site if you turn On the listings then the fields display in my category. You are welcome to test it on my site. :-)

It seems that i cant replicate it on your local As you can see, from my observations below, i have disabled "Show Custom Fields" on listing and category
listing: http://prntscr.com/d7uee2
category: http://prntscr.com/d7uel8

Enabled "Show Custom Fields" and disable "Show Post Custom Fields" in category
listing: http://prntscr.com/d7uez4
category: http://prntscr.com/d7ufre

Or maybe i have replicated it wrongly. Please advice.

I just set Settings -> Layout -> Listings -> Show Custom Fields to NO and was able to remove the custom fields from displaying at the top level of the blog: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/

I wish I could get them to not display on the Category layout pages and the tags layout pages. I have not been able to get those turned off.

They still show on the tags page: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/blog-tags/tags/breast-cancer

They still show on the Category page: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/blog-categories/breast-cancer

Hopefully before we are through I can get them to no longer display on ANY of the multi-item pages. I just want them to show on the actual post entry page itself.

For example: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/effects-of-a-very-low-fat-high-fiber-diet-on-serum-hormones-and-menstrual-function
