Yes, You can setup a discount to extent the subscription period of a plan for that you have to create a discount of Subscription Extention Usage type.
You can find the setting for this discount here:Backend>>Discounts>>Discounts>>Create new>>Usage type>>Subscription Extention

Hmm, that's not very clear. The documentation says:

"Subscription Extension - Discount is autmatically applied when subscription is being extended. No coupon code required."

That's not what I want. I want to have a coupon code and when that coupon code is applied by user, they get an extra, say, 2 months on the subscription they purchase (and the price does not change).

When creating the discount, it looks like it's doing what I want but the tooltip is not there so I'm not entirely sure:


I cannot just try at this point as we're in the middle of making the upgrade plans and checklists.

Yes, To use this discount you will need a coupon the discount will not be automatically applied you have to provide a coupon code to the user in order to use this discount.

The documentation is not correct the correct workflow for the Subscription Extension discount is what i provided you in my previous reply.

I have already logged this issue into our issue tracker and we will improve our document as well.
