I am curious if the Advanced Search in EasySocial is going to extend to Groups and Events so that we can refine our searches by User, Group and Events and do so with the use of each ones Custom Fields?

This seems to be a big function possibly overlooked in past releases.

Thanks,
James
Hey Jim,

This post was posted about a year ago and since EasySocial 2.1, you have the option to perform advance search for groups, events, users and pages.

You can try it out at http://easysocial.stackideas.com/search/advanced?type=event

Hi James,

Yes currently the Advanced Search is only limited to parameters of the profile field. Also, thanks for voicing this on our Voices page so other users can keep a lookout and vote for this feature. Once many have vote on this feature, we will give this feature priority consideration.

Yes I just noticed this today. What's the point of having custom fields in Event work flow labeled as searchable if you can't search for them in the advanced search?

It does not seem like I can use advanced search to search for custom event fields? Or am I doing something wrong. Also the think you mentioned above http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial/item/1244 -doesn't work.

Thank you. Yes, after I posted my question - I realized I had something configured wrong on my site. So once again it was a user error

Thanks
Jim
