Hello everyone,

2) I realized that especially windows based mail accounts don't get my activation message.
(hotmail.com, outlook.com, live.com) I use sendmail for outgoing mails and regarding the test of sendmail function and other mail accounts (gmail etc) obviously get the email it seems that the parameters of send mail are set correctly.

What can be the problem with windows based mails?

I don't have a definite answer for you because I do not own or manage these windows mail providers. My suggestion is to use a proper transactional email provider such as sendgrid or amazon SES to deliver your emails.

High chances are that these mail providers are either blocking these e-mails for (I have no idea why) whatever reasons they want to.

Well I can't reproduce this, too.

Did you received an activation eMail?

And one more thing...

Before this issue occurred I received email each time a user subscribed to my site. In these email the user avant was what they had imported from their Facebook profiles.

Now (as in your case) I still receive this mail but the user avatar is the 'default avatar' of easy social.
