Hi,

how can I show excerpt (as in wordpress) on EayBlog frontpage automatically, without inserting Read More Link manuaaly in all posts.
Hello Prashant,

You can find the setting from your backend > easyblog > settings > layout > General > frontpage blog layout, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-09_1417.png

Hi Prashant,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

It seems like the read more link is shown on your blog frontpage layout, check my screenshot below.

Am i missing something here?

Hello Prashant,

Perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Please advise

hi,

Pls have a look at the frontpage of blog at BankCircle Blog. You will see that Read More option is available in the firt few posts wherein I've manually inserted Page Break in the articles.

But for all those articles where I've not put the Page Break, the articles are shown full,

Also, pls limit the excerpt length to 400-500 words..

E.G. these articles dont have pagebreak & are shown in full.

Hello Prashant,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

From your truncation settings that you have choose from the backend (by paragraph tag) the truncation will only occur if the blog post contain the <p> tag. I've checked the blog post "Union Budget 2014-2015" and it seems like there is only one <p> tag while the settings here http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-12_1600.png require two <p> tag in order to truncate the content. http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-12_1552.png

You can choose to truncate the blog content by characters and set the limit to 400-500 if you want to to automatically truncate the blog content and display read more at the end of the content. Hope these can help
