Having a similar issue with Event Videos.

The Application is enabled for Events but the bar is not being displayed in the stream.

If yes, we have tried in our local and yours and we can upload picture into event as shown :

Abdul, here is the problem....

- We want Photo Uploads disabled for user profiles (other than Avatar and Cover)
- We want Photo Uploads enabled for Events and Groups

So, if you disable it in Profiles like should be you CAN upload photos in groups but not in events.

The same issue is happening with Groups, users are not able to upload photos to the stream.

The group photo app is enabled and the acl privileges for each category are setup to allow photos, videos and files.

Sorry for the delay of the reply because it is weekend for us here.

The Profiles Type>ACL --> upload function is set for all site. If we disable it, all site including events and group sites will be disable, but if you want to enable photo upload on events and group, you can replace those file that i attach based on link below:

1.for events replace photos.php with photos_1.php and rename it to photos.php
...\JoomlaES\media\com_easysocial\apps\event\photos\photos.php

2.for groups replace photos.php with photos_2.php and rename it to photos.php
...\JoomlaES\media\com_easysocial\apps\group\photos\photos.php

Abdul and Muhammed, I tried the files provided but I don't see any change.

In groups the user is still not able to post photos but videos does work (videos has worked).
My site details are included in the master forum setting for reference.

As you can see the ACL settings aren't working even with the override file.
Also, this is exactly what was happening before which dictates contradicting ACL settings between applications.

The way it should work:
- Profile ACL - Independent
- Group ACL - Independent
- Event ACL - Independent

If you want Profile ACL to be GOD/MASTER you should have a setting in the General Configuration that allows the user to specify this. Otherwise they should all be independent of one another.

I also checked on John tom "Bo" Woods memorials using James L Helms account, and it seem works perfectly as shown.

The problems still occurs because you have disable Create Albums at Backends>Components>EasySocial>Profiles Types>ACL>Albums as shown http://screencast.com/t/176jhLXzWS . I oversee this option as it does play a part for enabling photo upload.

I have made some modification into your code and it seems to work perfectly. Please give it a try .

Will these changes be committed to the next official release or should I override the files you modified with template overrides? I would assume they would be included in the next release.

I also want to make a point to what I was saying in one of my previous post. The Video Plugin for Users, Groups and Events was working as expected. Photos was not. This was a contradiction to how the ACL should work so to be consistent now we are in good shape.
