See if you can replicate this issue I'm having....

Back-End Event Category Custom Fields: Set Photo Albums default value to NO.
Then Front-End on Event Creation: It's showing YES as the default.

Looks like this happens for Announcements and Discussions too.

(In other news, THANKS, for the inclusion of search by month in the latest release... nice, real nice!)
Ah this would make a lot of sense. I'll add this further down the road (I cannot promise if this will be in the direct next version though).

Yes to all 3 issues. Nice catch.

I've been looking for this, where is it supposed to display?

Hi Josh... Now the month title on the mini-calendar is clickable and brings up a page view with that month (with a URL you could presumably add to menu structure and / or your own links elsewhere if you wanted too)

Hi,

Ahh nice catch. I'll fix this up internally.

On a side note, "year" is accepted as well. If you were to manually change the link to only 2015, then it will lists all events on the year 2015. We are still figuring out how/where to put this "year" link though.

OK thanks Jason.... and on the side note you mention, presumably it's not easy to split the "Jan, 2014" type header on that mini-calendar so the month and the year are linked separately to their respective lists?

@Andy, Oh that is do able but interface wise (because there is a popover to show the event listing), I am not sure how it will goes. But anyway, because the codes are ready to go, this will be integrated any time down the road.

Past events should display the latest instead of the oldest. This allows for more relevant results and is more dynamic. With the current method if someone created an event (assuming it's the oldest one) it would always display at the top of past events.

Awesome, thanks for the instructions. Also thanks Jason for fixing the issues and your dedication to the stacked team.

@Josh, regarding the past events sorting, I'll see what I can do to fix that. But for now, in the direct upcoming release, all filters will ONLY show upcoming events (except past filter of course), with a newly added checkbox on the top right corner for user to choose whether should past events get included or not.

Sounds great, I was thinking about check boxes as well. When I have both hands again I'll have to draw up and carefully think out a unified search for ES that makes finding specific content a breeze. Of course that would be something for later down the road when you folks are "less busy".

Jason... I think I've got a great suggestion for the issue you raised above re: where to put the 'By Year' link....

Right now there's 2 links "Upcoming Events (1 week ahead)" and "Upcoming Events (2 weeks ahead)"

That's ok but how about replacing them with: VIEW BY WEEK, VIEW BY MONTH, VIEW BY YEAR

This would be way more useful to the user and powerful. Click one and it brings up the current week / month / year view.... with a header (eg 2014) with left and right navigation arrows... so you can browse forwards to 2015 or back to 2013...

See what I mean? So if I click VIEW BY MONTH it would come up with September's... plus the arrows for me to browse on into October, November etc etc.

Andy that is a great idea. I could go for either arrow navigation or we can do a drop down menu. So if I clicked "View by Week" it could show a drop down with "Upcoming this week", "Upcoming next Week", and so on.
