Before I edit the css is there a way on the next update you could add feature on the backend to make the avatars for the events bigger to show on the front end for the users?

Thnx
I would strongly suggest template overriding right now, quite busy.

Hi,

It depends on where you want the avatar to be larger. Due to template design, there are "various" sizes of avatar shown across the site. And as such it is hard to specifically define what size on where.

What if the specified image size controlled the css for the box that contains the image? Just curious about this method.

Hello Leslie,

I still think it's best that this is done via CSS instead as Alexandre pointed out.

Right now its scaled to 172px × 172px, the original size of the thumbnail is 180px by 180px. This means that you can only gain 8 extra pixels with CSS. I'm okay with the current system for now, however later down the road I recommend settings for thumbnail and images sizes. I know you guys are busy which is why I don't need to create a voice page right now. Maybe when ES 1.4 is released I can make a post about it.

Hello Josh,

I don't think it makes sense to have avatar sizes as a settings. If you are going through that route, then there's going to be hundreds of different settings for image sizes and believe me, only you will use it. Nobody else would ever want to see that screen

Mark, my proposal is for a unified image setting which would allow for just a few settings (four settings instead of "hundreds"):

- Square

-Thumbnail

- Medium

- Large

It would apply to the profile, groups, and events. This would reduce settings, keep it consistent, and make it easy to tweak through out the site. By allowing an admin to change the image settings, we can size images appropriately to our templates. This allows us to maximize bandwidth usage as well as better display in some scenarios.

Hello Josh,

I don't think you can / should standardize this but we'll see how it goes in the future
